So,
I thought i'd be a nice son-in-law and take my mother-in-law to the "ramate"(swap meet) on memorial day. I took my nieces (9 yr old twin girls) with me and met Laura Lee and Erica in Visalia to make the trek to Hanford.
After what seemed like a year we found some birds and decided to keep looking and possibly come back for the "PERFECT" fawn finch. 45 minutes later we were back buying a finch(the "PERFECT" fawn finch), a canary, and 2 love birds. The girls were almost as excited as Laura Lee was to get the birds! So birds in our brown paper sacks and we were off!
FINALLY, we started to make our way back to the car which was parked 8 miles away, okay so it only felt like 8 in the warm afternoon sun! When we got to Kents work where we parked the security card would not open the gate!!!! ARRGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We broke into the facility and then in an Incerdible Hulk moment i forced the gate open, we ran in got the car and pulled out! As soon as I shut the gate someone showed up, isn't that how it always goes!!
So the next stop was Marshalls. 4 BIRDS 4 GIRLS AND 1 HOT mexican later we arrived at marshalls and found NOTHING!!!! The next stop had me VERY excited! Figaro's! A tex-mex joint that has a great mango/chicken salad! and boy was I ready for a cold drink and some good food!
After ordering, which is not the easiest task when you have 2 little picky girls! we got our drinks and Laura Lee asked about giving the birds some water. keep in mind that the birds are in a brown paper sack! Laura Lee started to put the water in, the only thing is that as the water went in the "PERFECT, ONCE IN A LIFETIME" fawn finch came out!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now i have three women in a panic, Erica telling them to calm down and me wondering why I didn't stay in bed!
i tried to catch the bird with my "once in a lifetime" hat but to no avail. Some Mexican lady came out and told us not to be afraid of the bird and asked us for a towel. We said we didn't have one and LAura Lee told me to take off my shirt!!!!! As I said no the waitress took her shirt off and away went the mexican lady, Laura Lee and the waitress in the small under shirt, me heading up the rear. Across the parking lot, over the bushes and FINALLY i caught the bird in my hat!!!!!
Dang bird slipped out the back!!! The chase continued as Laura Lee leaped the bushes like O.J. Simpson leaping luggage and she caught the bird!! Again this pesky bird flew out the back!!!!!
Just then I realize that this dang bird cost $5.00!!!! I have been chasing a FIVE dollar bird!!!! HONESTLY i could not belive that all this effort was being exausted on a FIVE dollar bird!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All of a sudden the bird flies across the lot back to our table and next to Laura Lee's food, Quesadilla with sour cream. Oh ya the waitress has been asking for her shirt back for the last 5 minutes but Laura Lee is too busy chasing that darn bird! So right when Laura Lee was about to catch the bird near her plate Erica luckily and MUCH to the delight of the half naked waitress stopped her mother from ruining her shirt!!
Now deflated and defeated Laura Lee gives up on the "PERFECT ONCE IN A LIFETIME" fawn finch.
That's where I come in again!! I leaped into action and told her i'd catch the bird!!! As the bird flew away it stopped one last time to bid us farwell! Just then like a tiger stalking its prey I crept up behind the bird and in one swopping moment took off my shirt caught the bird and jumped inside the car!!! See watching the discovery channel and animal planet paid off!!!!
Soon after Laura Lee was in the car happy as a clam!
There may be a moral to this story but i can't remember it because I am still confounded that I left my food to chase a FIVE dollar bird!!!!!!
Heres the culprit!!! he the one in the front!! Did i tell you that I HATE BIRDS!!!!????!!!

Here's Peanuts first picture!! As the doctor said it's not his best but it is his first!(or her)
We had our first baby doctor visit on Friday and recieved our first pictures!! We met with our doctor and really felt comfortable with him,(even if he is a ucla grad), he said that our due date according to the ultrasound is January 6th! We are the office's first 2008 baby! We set up visits for the next 5 months, including our ultrasound on August 6th! That will be Jennifer's birthday present. We are VERY excited!!! our next visit is June 14th! we'll keep everyone posted till then!

This is the moving crew that moved most of our things into our new apartment! I know I violated about a million child labor laws but my things got moved!!! They kept asking me to take breaks after every trip and i refused to let them take breaks. Amazingly enough they wanted to stay when their dad came to pick them up.
